The end of a beautiful journey…

The Roots Group is not my first rodeo as a business owner. I’ve had a second business for the past 14 years, until now. With that said, I’m thrilled to share the news:
 
Since founding Branching Out in 2009, I knew what I was setting out to accomplish. My goal was to build a great company that I could one day pass on to a successor who wanted to “branch out.” (Yes, the company name was strategically chosen with my goal in mind.)
 
I wasn’t sure when my dream would become my reality, however I held onto this BHAG (big hairy audacious goal) as my North Star, guiding all my decisions over the past 14yrs. Today, I am proud to share- I have accomplished what I set out to do. On June 23, I officially closed on the sale of Branching Out to the company’s new owner, Samantha Mora.
 
I am immensely grateful to all the colleagues and clients who have supported me and the company over the years. I will forever value the memories we’ve made- from installing events to so seriously strategizing even the smallest details of an event. Thanks to this experience, I have tried and true friendships that transcend business.
 
I am also immensely grateful to the team of people who have helped me build, grow and sustain the company. It is their loyalty and faith in me, as well as their support of my ultimate goal, that has enabled me to find a successor and transition into a new chapter of life. They are all remaining with the company under Samantha’s ownership.
 
So what does this new chapter look like for me?
 
Professionally, I am shifting 100% of my professional efforts to The Roots Group! This venture allows me to focus on work that ignites my true passion- serving business owners as a conduit for growth, change and transformation.
 
I place high value on being effective and legitimate. For these reasons, I have spent the past 3 years educating and training myself to be really, really good at coaching. So, in addition to finding a successor for Branching Out, I am equally thrilled to share that I have earned my PCC credentials- Professional Certified Coach- from the International Coaching Federation (ICF). I can assure you, these credentials are not given away easily, and in the words of the ICF, “Anyone can call themselves a coach, but the ICF-credentialed coaches are professionals who have met stringent education and experience requirements, and have demonstrated a thorough understanding of the coaching competencies that set the standard in the profession.” I am proud to uphold those standards.  
 
Personally, I’ll be enjoying more time traveling with my husband and supporting our two children (19yrs and 18yrs) on their college journey. I’ll also be playing with ceramics, my favorite hobby!
 
I see my journey as the founder and owner of Branching Out as a beautiful gift that I will forever treasure. I am passing the baton of ownership as a better person and better business owner.  As Branching Out continues to evolve, I look forward to watching its growth from a distance.
